Tropical Chic

The other night I enjoyed some much needed crafting time, whipping up a few creations with the soon to be retired Tropical Chic Dies

I had been inspired by my son’s tropical t shirt, which was a blue colour very similar to Seaside Spray, so I based my creations around using this cardstock and ink.

I started with the scrapbook page, which is half a piece of cardstock, stamped using the matching stamp set on the edges, and just under the photo area. I then cut the framelits and popped underneath where I wanted my photo to go. I used my trusty HP sprocket to print a small 2x3” photo, and cut a piece of whisper white card stock slightly bigger so it would look like a Polaroid, and I could stamp the bottom.

With some scraps left over I made another slightly smaller scrapbook page, this time I created a hidden section using the new Stitched So Sweetly dies, and my fave Alphabet Labeller stamp set (another that is retiring, sob!). When making hidden sections you need to raise the photo area up with dimensional and all room for the section to slide in and out.

I made a couple more simple makes using this gorgeous Seaside Spray/Whisper White colour combo. One was a simple gift box using a Mini Pizza Box decorated with the square die from Tropical Chic, which fits perfectly.

Anothet was a card that I simply cut the square die out of and laid on top of a Seaside Spray card base.

If you like these makes then why not have a go yourself, these dies are currently on sale while stocks last.

Thanks so much for reading xx
