I was inspired by this weeI’d Global Design challenge after seeing the lovely Emma’s design with the Lovely You stampset. I recently ordered this set as part of my pre order as I thought the sentiments would be good for cards and scrapbook pages.
Here is the creation I made for this week’s project based on the layout.
I used Shimmer White Cardstock to watercolour wash Petal Pink ink over it, and then stamped a sentiment on once dry. I used a Gold Hoop and Gold Laser foliage to create a “floral wreath” type look. I found some scraps of Magnolia Lane DSP and added that with some Linen Thread and Polis Dot Tulle Ribbon. I ripped the cardtock and layered it on top of Crumb Cake to give a border effect.
I also created another in the same style for a scrapbook page with photos of my younger son and I. I love the sentiment “Wildly Grateful“, it’s so apt for my wild boys and how grateful I am for them, even if they are driving me (more) crazy during lockdown.
